In addition to having a structural engineer design your foundation and framing systems, you may need further modifications to meet local requirements or customizations to suit your vision.

In order to modify your plan to meet local requirements, we recommend working with local professionals familiar with your area’s codes and site conditions. This approach is usually more cost-effective and ensures that modifications meet local standards efficiently.  Our PDF and CAD files facilitate seamless adjustments, and our Construction License allows for your local experts to integrate changes into your plan.

With Alabode, you have the flexibility to modify your plans to better suit your needs.  We understand that small adjustments are sometimes necessary to make a plan work for you, and we’re happy to accommodate these changes with an eye toward preserving the architectural style and aesthetic of the original design.

To assess whether your desired changes are feasible before purchasing, contact us for a free estimate. Our modification fees depend on the complexity and time required for your requested changes. While our minimum fee is $1,200, typical costs range from $2,000 to $5,000, covering the detailed work needed to maintain the quality and integrity of the original design.  Plans must be purchased prior to the commencement of customization services.

Keep in mind, however, the true value of pre-designed house plans is in using them as they are, as even minor revisions can be time-consuming and costly. For significant alterations, we recommend consulting with a local designer, architect, engineer, or builder to ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Also know that interior changes, such as adjustments to kitchen layouts or closet sizes, are generally quicker and simpler, whereas modifications to exterior elements can be more complex and time-consuming, especially if they impact foundation or roof designs.
